Rose Leslie, Kit’s spouse and previous co-lead on “Game of Thrones”, has recently given birth to the couple’s second offspring, a girl.
Their representatives communicated to Page Six on July 3rd, stating, “The couple is overjoyed to usher a baby girl into their lives.”
The latest member of their family accompanies their two-year-old son, whose identity remains private.
At 36 years old, Kit had previously shared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon in February that he and his 36-year-old wife, Rose, were awaiting their second child, while sharing stories about their young boy.
The actor revealed, “He’s soon to experience a life-altering surprise when he realizes he’s about to become a big brother.”
He further described their son’s endearing reaction when informed about the pregnancy. “We gesture towards Rose’s belly and mention, ‘Mommy’s baby,’ and he points to his own belly saying, ‘My baby.'”
Moreover, Kit, who starred in “The Eternals”, expressed his apprehension about becoming a father for the second time. “With your first child, you are floating on air and skipping through meadows of sunflowers for nine months, at least from the man’s perspective,” he humorously commented. “However, with the second, the novelty fades quickly and you become pragmatic much sooner.”
Kit and Rose, who played his on-screen lover Ygritte in “Game of Thrones”, tied the knot in 2018. They have had an on-again, off-again relationship since 2012.
Kit portrayed Jon Snow throughout all eight seasons of “Game of Thrones”. Reports surfaced last year suggesting a follow-up series revolving around his character was in the works.
