The tragic news of Leandro De Niro Rodriguez’s death, grandson to esteemed actor Robert De Niro, has been confirmed by TMZ.
The young actor, at the tender age of 19, was discovered lifeless in his chair within a New York City apartment on Sunday afternoon, as per sources in law enforcement informed TMZ. There were no immediate indicators that could shed light on the cause of his untimely death. A concerned friend, who hadn’t received any communication from him for a few days, found him during a welfare check.

Late Sunday night, his mother, Drena De Niro, confirmed the heartbreaking news of her son’s demise on her Instagram account.
“My beautiful sweet angel. From the instant I sensed your presence within me, I’ve adored you more than words can express. You’ve been the embodiment of my joy, my heart, and everything pure and authentic in my existence. How I wish I could be with you at this moment. I cannot comprehend living without you, but I will endeavor to continue spreading the love and light you’ve instilled in me during your time as my son. I can only wish that love could have been enough to save you. Rest peacefully in Eternal Paradise, my precious boy.”

Leandro had made appearances in the film industry, most notably in the 2018 movie “A Star is Born.” In the film, he played the son of George “Noodles” Stone, who was Bradley Cooper’s best friend’s character, portrayed by Dave Chappelle. Leandro also graced the screen in “Cabaret Maxime” that same year.
