Aduba, acclaimed for her Emmy-winning performance in “Orange Is the New Black,” graced the red carpet at the United Palace Theater in NYC and shared her joyous news in style. She opened her vibrant orange suit jacket to unveil her growing baby bump, much to the world’s surprise. She also confirmed to People magazine that she and her husband were on the thrilling journey towards parenthood.
It remains uncertain as to how far along Aduba is in her pregnancy, but judging by her sizeable baby bump, it’s probably a good time for her to start accumulating baby toys and clothes, assuming she hasn’t already started.
Aduba was glowing with happiness as she posed alongside her husband, film director Robert Sweeting, whose joy was also palpable at the prospect of welcoming a new member to their family.

Aduba and Sweeting tied the knot back in 2020 in New York, but it wasn’t until the subsequent year that she shared the happy news publicly. She made the announcement through an emotional Instagram post, borrowing a poignant quote from the film “When Harry Met Sally.”
Part of her heartfelt message read, “When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”
Cheers to the expecting couple!
